Any MSM Outrage! for a murdered pro-lifer?

On this day when we most Americans are remembering the victims of 9/11 it is being reported that a familiar fixture and long time pro-life demonstrator has been murdered outside of a Michigan high school.  The police took a suspect into custody a little less than an hour later; they are also investigating whether the same person is responsible for a second shooting that took place not far away.

Gabriel Malor at Ace’s place wonders whether the MSM will get worked into a similar lather as when Dr. George Tiller was murdered, if it turns out that the killer is pro-choice.  I have my doubts regardless of where this heinous act took place.  I mean, if they don’t see the similarity and want to avoid assertions of, The Hypocrisy!, they should do it for the children…

Exit question:  If it turns out that  Pouillon's was an ideologically motivated murder, would that mean all pro-choice advocates are zealots!, capable at any time of unspeakable acts in order to enforce their ideology?  While some may want to pillory the left with this, that manner of Tu Quoque argumentation just won’t work square with my thought processes, intellectual honesty, or integrity.  I’ll leave the “looney-zooming” to my friends on the left who are more comfortable and familiar with it…

Prayers for the victim(s) loved ones, and hopes that the guilty party spend the rest of their days behind bars.

  1. It’s said that the suspect killed the other man, first, then thought, “I’m going to jail anyway, so why not take out the guy with the signs?” If it does turn out that he killed the man for expressing his views on abortion, the interesting comparison is likely to be the loon who shot up the Holocaust Museum.

  2. I thought about that myself Dan, but since the police are understandably closed mouthed until all the facts are in, I didn’t want to go down that road…

Tom Brokaw called the internet, “A cesspool of misinformation…”, (did he steal the “cesspool” part from our pal Jeff G?!?), so in that case I didn’t want to be a muckraking sewer worker…

I’ll leave that up to Tom and his collegues; after all, they’re the professionals!

  3. Hey Dr. Lou Zoomer, that story is in the MSM, seriously, where in the fuck else would you moronic loony-zoomers have picked it up?

The circular swirl of ironic obviousness in your breathtaking zoomering is duuuhdarfying.

I particularly enjoy the way you assign a parallel motive where there is no confirmation of such.

Desperation fouling your breath, flop sweat rolling off your brow, trembling from convulsions of anticipation, your lily white face now flushed crimson, hives breaking through your skin, all because in your advanced state of willful ignorance you so-so need a comparative narrative to that of Dr. Tiller’s death that you’re indifferent to the tiniest inconvenient necessities of rhetorical logic.

Seems to me you’ve become a wee too smitten with the human condition known as unrepentant dingbatitis, a little too thirsty for the purple juice, way too eager woof down a heaping bowl of guano soup.

  4. Thanks for pointing out my wording error edge, I’ll correct it. But as far as this getting as widely publicized? I’ve only seen it in a few, more obscure, places; ;et’s see if the major media picks it up. Let’s see how this pans out, and if it gets the same level of coverage; that’s what I’m, going to do…

I haven’t assigned any motives, and won’t until the police do. And I don’t need anything to compare to Tillers murder; the terrible act of a zealot, as I’ve said many times since…

  5. And edge, you do realize that when I speak of the MSM, I mean the major network outlets and large national newspapers…

When I see the NY Times hand wringing over Pouillon’s death like they did for Tiller, regardless of circumstance, then I’ll concede your point…

And it’s not fair for you to compare Darleen Click and I…She’s a much better writer and a more experienced blogger!

  6. If you haven’t assigned any metanarrative or motive then why would you suggest/expect that a victim of random violence would deserve equal time in the news cycle to that of Dr. Tiller’s murder?

The sinister depictions in your MSM fantasies are weaker than a refrigerator magnet.

  7. How do you know Pouillion is a victim of random violence? After all, he was a well known pro-life demonstrator in that locale; why would you assume that two closely timed deaths, at the hands of a murderer, are random killings? I guess I’m not the only one making assumptions…

And why would a flyover country abortion doctor like Tiller warrant national coverage then either? Why the meta-narrative that the same doctor’s crazy killer was only religiously motivated; he might have over-charged someone he knew, or cheated at cards…

Why was Tiller’s murder breathless, film at 11 material right away, but Pouillion’s not?

The desmissive depictions pf Palin’s opinions and sinister, hypocritical, characterization of RethugliKKKan fantasies are weaker than a refirgerator magnet…

That sword cuts both ways. Just as with Obamacare, time will tell.

As for the murder, we’re on radio silence. Hush, now.

  9. Silly rabbit, it’s not hypocrisy. It’s just an extraordinarily late term abortion.

  10. The nutter also killed a gravel pit owner.

What do you have against gravel, Bob? Why don’t you blog hot tears for the loss to the gravel industry?

Yeah, one less anti-abortion weirdo sitting outside a high school at 7:30 a.m. flashing placards of dead babies. I’m broken up, I tell ya. A Homeric tragedy for fucking sure. How he loved his aborted fetus placards, the red and pink hues in the graphics and the nauseated looks on the faces of those he frightened right after breakfast. He’ll be missed by the community and all the bulimics who depended on his presence. Will they ever york again? As I ponder their weight gain, I can only imagine there’s a j.v. cheerleader out there who’ll probably never make varsity. Her bulbous buns no longer able to submit to her tight-waisted pleated skirts. It’s such a loss, such a senseless loss. I curse thee, fate!

Silly McFistedALot, they aren’t babies – they’re growths! Simply fetuses, you see.
