There are those in our country that are concerned about their second amendment rights being usurped, whether immediately or overnight... The same is true for many Christians, who feel under fire by a secular society that seems increasingly unfriendly, foreign, and alienating... Different people fear many different circumstances arising; do you criticize them all? Obama repudiates many of the tradional values and expectations of a signifigant portion of our nation; not everyone who voted for him was down with transforming America into a more socialist society. And in some ways, to conservatives especially, he seems to be more intent on apologizing for our nation, tearing it down, and redefining it's fundamental tenets from "equality of opportunity" and "the rights of the government coming from the people", into, "equality of outcome" and "the rights of the people being bestowed on them by the government"... David Brooks would like to characterize it as a struggle of the "Hamiltonians" vs. "Jeffersonians", or urban vs. rural... I think that's a mistake, it's more like "Marxist" vs. "Jeffersonian", collectivists vs. individualists... edge,
