Et tu, Cohen?
In the same vein as yesterday's post on Howard Fineman's epiphany, it seems that Richard Cohen has experienced a "road to Damascus" moment too; a money quote:
"The trouble with Obama is that he gets into the moment and means what he says for that moment only. He meant what he said when he called Afghanistan a "war of necessity" — and now is not necessarily so sure. He meant what he said about the public option in his health care plan — and then again maybe not. He would not prosecute CIA agents for getting rough with detainees — and then again maybe he would."
[emphasis-ed.]
It must be tough on the guys to realize that all of Obama's promises come with an expiration date. On the bright side, if an increasing number in the legacy media become disillusioned with the President stories like this may become a regular feature at POWIP...

A regular feature? Now THAT is something to look forward to! Not just because it’s a good reason to come visit here, but also because it would mean the scales are falling from more eyes and the blind will see again…which COULD mean that sanity would return once more.
I won’t hold my breath, but I can “hope” all I want to!

Would it be the first regular feature here at POWIP? (Besides kicking around the troll thor?) What could you call it? Some kind of play on words dealing with raising the curtain at a show? Or maybe the Wizard of OZ “pay no attention to that man behind the curtain” kind of thing…
I’m still undecided if the tone/intent of these articles is more disappointment or realization. Are they (the authors) disappointed that President Obama is not delivering on what they thought he promised, or are they realizing that he is not the be-all-and-end-all savior that they thought he was.

Dan:
I think that’d be a great idea for a regular feature.

Speaking of the thor, Palin’s book is already at #11 on the Amazon best-seller list.
That’ll put a Möbius twist in his urethra, I’ll bet.

He hasn’t been here for days SBP, I don’t know if he went off in a huff or what. During that exchange between SEK and Jeff G I saw many of his comments at SEK’s blog…
Maybe he’s there now; but no one there seems to even pay attention to him.
I blame myself; he’s pissed at me for some reason I think…

It jumped to #5 overnight, and should pass The Swimmer today.

It’s also #1 at Barnes and Noble.
The Swimmah is #14.
