Now were talkin’ ’bout some real health care reform
Instead of poll-driven ’solutions,’ let’s talk about real health-care reform: market-oriented, patient-centered, and result-driven. As the Cato Institute’s Michael Cannon and others have argued, such policies include giving all individuals the same tax benefits received by those who get coverage through their employers; providing Medicare recipients with vouchers that allow them to purchase their own coverage; reforming tort laws to potentially save billions each year in wasteful spending; and changing costly state regulations to allow people to buy insurance across state lines. Rather than another top-down government plan, let’s give Americans control over their own health care."
Well, well, well; imagine Governor Nobody beating his won-ness to the punch, and perhaps stealing just a bit of his thunder tomorrow. Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout! Do yourself a favor and read the whole thing; it's pretty good, in spite of the fact that she's a, you know, chill-billy...
UPDATE: Sticking with his Trojan Horse fantasy, the WSJ confirms that Obama will endorse the public option plan in tonights speech. One! there's nothin' wrong with me, Two! there's nothin' worng with me...
UPDATE II:Â For all of her irrelevance, Palin seems to be the only Republican called out, by name, in the President's speech talking points that are being circulated by the White House to their Hill allies; according to Politico.
UPDATE III: Ace skewers Marc Ambinder for being, as Kaus laughingly observes, the only political writer willing to commit the most ludicrous spin from the White House to postings which are supposed to be seriously-intended.
BOO-YAH! BABY

I’m glad she’s not backing down calling them “death panels”. That’s a powerful image, as you can tell by the screeching, impotent rage it induces in the enemy.

It’s a thoughtful, well written essay where she tells it like it is. No vitriol or mean-ness, but simply candor and facts…

As a private citizen this is precisely the kind of role she needs to be playing; regardless of what the establishment or MSM have to say about her.

Stupid as usual, Sister Wasilla never fails.
“Simply candor and facts!” The enthusiast of failure informs us. He loves the legs and ass on the hick-stupid shrew-mouse from Retard Holler, Alaska.
Go pay an AIG-esque corporation to make those life or death health care decisions for ya and see where that gets you, hahaha.
We’re a country of clueless angry nutballs too stupid to govern ourselves, that’s what it’s come down to. If only ignorance was fascinating, if only.

Yeah, that was exactly no argument whatsoever, was it?
Hey, I wonder if Sarah will run into Van Jones out there in Quitterville.

Obviously, it does not read the linked article; it just types insults as though they were arguments. I used to get angry when it insulted my intelligence like this, but since I’ve learned about the major handicaps it’s trying to overcome, I’ve become a lot more tolerant of its constant poo-flinging.

At least there is recourse when dealing with an AIG-esque corporation; an appeal to the insurance commission or the courts for redress. And, if you don’t like AIG’s coverage plans, there is always another insurer out there; there are approximately 1300 in this country. But that would not be the case if a single-payer national system came to pass…
Were we a country of angry nutballs when the giant paper-mache heads on parade used to demonstrate? Or when the congressional Democrats declared in 2006 that none of Booooosh!’s appointments to the federeal bench would even come up for a vote? Were you worried about angry nutballs when it was the Democrats doing it?
Palin gave voice to what many in this country would constitute as real reform of the health care delivery system. One that would preserve consumer choice, the incentive for aggressive medical research, and avoid the nationalization of 15% of our economy. I like those goals more than any T&A of Palins…
Sincerely,
The Enthusiast of Failure…

Wouldn’t it be great if we were allowed to buy insurance from other states?
Can’t have that, though. That’d be almost as bad as school vouchers! Pure anarchy!

You have no idea what you’re talking about, again.
I have no time for this right now.
Palin is a fuckin’ dizzy dingbat and anyone who can’t spot her moose-sized retard horns is hopelessly deluding themselves.

I can understand if you don’t like the messenger edge; everyone ain’t for everybody…
But, if you consider the points made, independant of the speaker and any partisan affinities, you have to admit that they make sense,
How am I wrong; tell me, please…

Well, my dealing with my AIG-like HMO got me roughly 1 million in pancreatitis surgery last year. Out of pocket, I paid…. $10,000.
My experience is not unique.
What a moron it is.

Gee, if I were in such feeble condition I don’t think I’d be posting death threats on Jeff Goldstein’s blog, but you’re you, laughably so, I might add.
Hope your health improves, SDN, and the best to you and yours.
Once again I have to be the bigger man, oy.
