Obama’s Apology Tour Is Dying To Take You Away

In the wake of his phoned-in performance celebrating the fall of the Berlin Wall, Obama announces that although his schedule is too tight this time around, he'd really love to visit Hiroshima and Nagasaki in order to bring some of that old-time healiness that follows him everywhere. Meanwhile, North and South Korea engage in a minor naval fracas. And I'd provide a link, too, but that that's exactly what the Norks would like for me to do.

Meanwhile, I sure hope this is the dumbest Obama quote of the day:

In an exclusive television interview in the Map Room of the White House, Obama told ABC News' Jake Tapper that he was confident that the final [health care] legislation will ensure that "neither side feels that it's being betrayed."

  1. It´s crazy. The thing about the Berlin Wall is, there was nothing for Obama to apologize about that would benefit him and there was no promise of a reward for his attendance. Pretty transparent. Plus, I´m sure he didn´t want to stand beside one of the greatest symbols of Ronald Reagan´s “peace through strength” accomplishments. It would only feed the comparison to his “Smart Diplomacy” failures.

  3. Obama can’t compare to Reagan, and as they weren’t showering him with accolades nor did he require any dramatic photo-ops, there was really no need for him to go…

C’mon man! get a grip of yourself!
Overnight European jaunts are reserved for sales calls on the Olympic committee, or picking up his Nobel-for-nada prize; and possibly a date night with Chewy, or if the kids want to go shopping…

Other than that? He’s got imnportant work, mange! He’s got arms to twist for Obamacare! Photo-ops in Texas to exploit! Important “me” time spent gazing at his magnificent countenance in one of the many mirrors in the oval office! Getting instruction from his puppett-master Soros as to exactly which freedom robbing statist reform he’ll attempt to foist upon us next, and what crisis needs to be ginned up to do so!

But after all that he’ll focus, you know, “laser like” on the economy and get his giddy-up on demanding the another eleventy million jobs are created or saved…

He’s too busy for foreign trips, save for the upcoming one to China, to check our credit score so he can borrow another eleventy trillion dollars to buy off another huge chunk of the electorate. And lest I forget, he’s worked in time on his world Apology and Dictator gladhanding tour to meet with the leaders of Myanmar…

Get that? He’s got time to go to effin’ Myanmar and meet with penny-anty, jackboot, tyrannical, dictatorial thugs, but hasn’t the time to celebrate the fall of the Berlin wall, and the elimination of an existential threat to freedom, the west, and the US specifically…

You can’t make this stuff up…

  4. “neither side feels that it’s being betrayed.”

Of course, he’s refering to the extreme Democratic left on one side and the moderate Democratic left on the other.

The rest is just Fox news.

  5. How strange the Germans are giving credit to Gorbachev and to those East Germans who worked and protested from within Honecker’s police state for bringing down the wall. Those nasty Germans! Don’t they know it was Wonnie “Waterhead” Weagan who they owe their very existence to?

That bunch of bratwurst-chomping ingrates act like they were there or something!

  6. Ronnie broke the Soviets, to the point where their society was so bankrupt, and the people so desperate for basic goods and services, that Gorbachev could no longer keep up the pretense of control within the Soviet Union let alone in their satellites…

Reagan broke the commies; learn it, live it, love it…

  7. You’ve been to Russia and asked ‘em Russians, eh, Bob?

Bob Reed tells fairly tales – he learned ‘em, he lives ‘em and he loves to repeat ‘em.

    Why the lies, Bob?

  8. I’s love to go visit some day thor, but as yet have bot had that pleasure.

I think that the record of history supports my statement, so the only fairly tale is of your reluctance to give credit where it’s due. For the record, I’ve never said Reagan single handedly brought about an end to the cold war. In point of fact it was the cumulative effect of the efforst of many, potside of and behind the former Iron curtain. Only that he drove a quickening of the process to the point where others could stand up to the tyrranical regimes they lived under and say, “Enough!”…

Be more judicious of throwing the charge of liar around, it’s a strong assertion…

And, don’t you think Mr. Obama should have attended the commemoration of such a watershed moment in world history?

He was more to happy to use the Germans as props for the “one world governmenters” to swoon over during the campaign…

    Just Words!

  9. Ah, yes, when desperate men tell tall tales; Reagan is your personal winged unicorn, Bob.

  10. Desperate..?Tales..?You need to be more clear…

And while you’re at it, maybe you’ll answer my question, topical of this post by the way, on the merit or lack thereof in Obama’s decision to not attaned the anniversary of the cold war’s end…

Could it be that he’s still upset that the wrong side won ? Were all the stories Frank Marshall Davis filled his head with as a youth that far off the mark?

Why don’t you want to address the topic?

  11. And, by the way thor,
Why can’t you weigh in with something nice to say on the veretan’s day thread? Considering your Dad, and Brother in Law, as well as other antecedents; I’d think you’d at least have something nice to say on their behalf…
