Rush to Stupid [UPDATE x2]
Suffered from PTSD, despite having never been posted overseas; would have been better had he been named Smith; tragedy upon tragedy.
Assholes. Clueless, lying assholes.
Just hold on for the next video: he was trying to make contact with al-Qaeda, and here's the statement from his ex-imam, who was connected with the 9-11 terrorists and now lives in Yemen.
Conclusion? "This seems to be a lone wolf with serious emotional troubles."
UPDATE: For other information, please see my comments. I want to make clear that I am furious that these murdered and wounded men and women were placed in harm's way. I want to know why it is that this happened. If Lieberman gets his hearings, that's great. But first I want to know why, if the intelligence services were aware of this Islamist fuck's online rantings, they didn't share that information with the Army. Or, if they did, why the Army didn't intervene earlier. And I don't give a rat's ass about Casey's moaning about the "diversity" canard.
UPDATE x2: CIA refuses to brief Intelligence Committees on what it knew, when.

This meme won’t hold, once Joe Lieberman starts holding hearings on the Fort Hood massacre. He said yesterday that he believes that Hasan had turned to Islamic extremism and vowed to look into it.

It means he was suffering from stress, but not PTSD. In that peice ABC mentioned several times that he was never deployed overseas.
I believe Hasan is a scumbag human beyond the pale, much like SDN, who promotes himself on your website. SDN has threatened to shoot people, specifically me.
Maybe think a little harder about your selective reflex toward crazy dumbasses who talk of shooting people or who actually do shoot people.

ABC’s trying to have it every which way, Thor. He suffered from a stress disorder, the kind that other soldiers have, but it’s important to point out he’d never served overseas. Why’s that important? It’s obvious. Yes, he’s got a brother who lives in “occupied Palestine,” yes, he was a member of the radical imam’s mosque where some of the 9-11 hijackers worshipped, yes, he tried to contact al-Qaeda, but he was a lone wolf.

Lone wolf refers to a one gunman attacker. That he tried to contact al-Qaeda I hadn’t heard, so kudos to ABC.

I have no argument with your bias that the Hasan was influenced as much by that gutter religiond, Islam, as much as any personal stress, I agree with you, but I also expect the media to present all sides of the lone scumbag’s motivations and I’m perceptive enough to know that when they do so that’s not translatable into they’re agreeing with the man’s motivation.
When the media interviews Hasan’s mother or sister or whoever they’re simply reporting the statements presented.

If you have a problem with the way a sentence was phrased, OK, but it’s more than clear ABC went out of their way to point out the Hasan wasn’t under any sort of PTSD and that Hasan’s stress was related to the fact that he couldn’t get out of his deployment. I think you’re trying to connect dots that aren’t there.
Hey, SDN, are you still good on your death threat directed toward me. Maybe Dan needs a little clarity.

No, they said that he suffered from the same stress. The same. They are trying to have their cake and eat it, too. It’s what’s called a category error. But in any event, the only reason to mention “stress” as a factor for this murderous rampage is to exculpate.
This was a serious terrorist attack on US soil, and it turns out that the guy was on the radar, that intelligence knew he was trying to contact al-Qaeda. Why didn’t they bust him?
Today also comes the news that the Brits uncovered the subway plot recently thwarted. Also, that Chavez wants his troops to prepare for a war with Columbia, launched as a proxy for Obama. Now is that madness or calculation? And while 3 off-course American hikers are being detained on charges of espionage by Iran. How’s that smart power thing working out, do you think?

I’m not sure you’re making a coherent point. I’m glad the Brits uncovered a plot. Chavez is the democratically elected President of Venezuela who can say any dumb thing he would like, and in the past, under Boooosh, he availed himself well in that type of endeavor.
What the fuck does that have to do with our current President and his policies, which differ little versus his predecessor? Did you think nary a bad-crazy word would be spoken against the U.S. or that our citizens won’t be harassed under Obama? You’re simply wrong.

Chavez is a wannabe regional stringman, who has achieved the kind of “change!” that Obama wishes for; by bribing the populace with essentially their own wealth he has ensured enough of an electoral mandate to guarantee that he’s el Presidente for life, as well as closing media outlets that don’t agree with him.
And yes thor, the promise was that upon his inauguration, Obama’s mere countenance and soothing voice would not only end strife among nations and stop the seas from risisng, but would also ameliorate all of the bad feeling engendered by that eeeeeevolll cowboy Boooooooooosh! over the last 8 years…

I’m saying that they have no fear of our CiC. Why should they? He sucked up to Chavez’s little mentee, Zelaya. He’s okay with Iran having the bomb, by the looks of things. He’s waffled about the troops for Afghanistan after stating that that was the real battlefield. He’s been a total douche.

Our State Department asked Zelaya not to return to Honduras and yet he did. That’s why we, and most of the OAS, washed our hands of him. Your Chavezing of our State Department and Obama is partisanship hackery at its worst.
Obama has not waffled in Afghanistan. You simply lie. Obama filled a request for additional troops in Afghanistan once already, that was the same request that sat on Booooosh’s and neo-Dick’s desks for 8-months unfilled. McChrystal’s request is not simply for more troops but for a complete overhaul of strategy, one which is expected to cause many more U.S. military casualties. His is a strategy that screams for further review, and a review in which partisan hack’s screaming for our troops to mount white horses and charge the enemy be ignored.

“McChrystal’s request is not simply for more troops but for a complete overhaul of strategy, one which is expected to cause many more U.S. military casualties.”
You Lie! It’s the strategy Obama ok’d in March…
“Obama filled a request for additional troops in Afghanistan once already, that was the same request that sat on Booooosh’s and neo-Dick’s desks for 8-months unfilled.”
You Lie! They didn’t implement their strategy review reccomendations becuase the didn’t want to tie Obama’s hands to a committment he may not have chosen to follow through on. And as far as the troop request goes, it was part of a larger force the Boooooosh! strategy review called for, and Petraeus needed.
And don’t make up your narrative version of the shameful handling of the Honduran situation. As late as last week Ian Kelly said Obama and the Department considered it a “coup!” regardless of the CRS findings.
Obama waffled on Afghanistan becuase he wanted as favorable result as possible in te elections Here at home last week. And havin been called om it, his response is to dither further to cover his prior dithering.
He’s shamefully playing politics with American lives, in an effirt to placate the nutroots, as they aren’t going to get the vaunted “robust public option” nor Federally funded abortion on demand as they wish. He’s afraid that in the face of these developments he’s lose their support for good if he also sent more troops to Afghanistan; a direct violation of the cynical campaign promises to go all kill-crazy, sooper-trooper in that theater…

thor,
Unless you’ve had your head in the sand for the last few days, the over arching media meta-narrative has been that he essentially suffered from second hand PTSD.
And while I applaud ABC for it’s latest report, I saw on Friday evening, with my own eyes, them trotting out several psychologists to hand-wringingly attest to the effect that Hasan culd have PTSD simply by listening to the tales of woe of returning troops.
http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/national_world&id=7103994
It was on a special extra segment of ABC world news with that arse Charlie Gibson, although I didn’t see the professorial glasses-down-on-the-nose pose that night.
It’s also been the overarching meme this weekend on CNN too.

Looks like your scary right-wing shooter boy, SDN, went running away in shame, Dan.
Hmmm, I wonder what your response to a SDN-type would be if SDN was posting of his intention to shoot Enoch.
You seem so concerned about deadly violence, say SDN shoots my neighbors, my wife, shoots a cop or two while attempting to shoot me. Now that you’ve been made fully aware of his stated intention to shoot people, me specifically, what is your response to his making specific and detailed death threats. Teh media might source your answer if our SDN-shooter-boy fulfills his promises so word your answer carefully.

You too have spoken in the heat of such exchanges. It just so happens that the specifics of the threats were different, but the intent the same. It was “smack talk” as you often say, delivered in the heat of the moment.

I don’t think so. For example, when pussy-bot serr8d said he’d scatter my teeth, I simply stated in response that I’d love the opportunity to beat that squatty old man with his keyboard. HAHA. I see nothing wrong with that.
I’ve been threatened and I’ve had guns and knives pointed my way. Been there done that. I’m not the type that scares easily. OK, I regret some situations I’ve gotten into. Once I almost got charged with assault after I got the better of a bouncer, but since it was way out in the parking lot away from where this guy was supposed to be, the police believed me and my friends that the fag-bouncer followed us to our cars and instigated the whole thing. Close as I ever got to being the bad guy in a brawl, and it was a civil few blows to the face fight, nothing spectacular. Hey, I’m easy going, don’t see the point in bar fighting.

He still hasn’t closed Gitmo!
It gets worse, however, as I just heard some ass-face intelligentsia blame Hasan on the “broken Army” – that is, the “system is broken” when we have so many soldiers coming home that aren’t being treated properly – and to expect Hasan to help them when he is overworked because of the shortae of shrinks, etc.
These fuckers in the media are totally bankrupt.
It went down like this: ass-clown Muslim Hasan make sit known he hates his country – and that he sympathizes with those who have demonstrated a pattern of killing us. No one says anything – and if they do – no one does anything because the c*nt is a Muslim – God forbid! May as well write up a gay handicapped black soldier while you’re at it. People pass the buck in order not to offend … in the meantime, c*nt-hater Hasan goes on a rampage, massacring a bunch of his “brothers”. Unarmed.
Drawing a conclusion – or the equivalence to a McVey is retarded – and any human being slightly familiar with statistics knows the difference between an outlier event and causality.

Sorry, Thor, but despite the clear meaning—and it’s quite clear—of the Honduran Constitution, our morons in charge determined that what happened was a coup. Further, despite what the Library of Congress told them, dumbass John Kerry, now Senior Dumbass of Massachusetts, tried to quash the findings.
If the US were serious about Zelaya’s not returning to Honduras, they would have put serious pressure on Brazil. They did no such thing while he was holing up at the Embassy, claiming to be assaulted by radiation and mind-altering gases provided to the Hondurans by . . . the US.

I don’t want to watch you insult people like Darleen whose little finger contains more wisdom and knowledge than your entire body; like N.O’Brain’s son, who has given more to this country than you ever could. And not even Trollhammer allows me to avoid those things, because you value your hate and venom and illusion of intelligence above everything else, so you make sure it can’t work.”
Now come on thor, let go of it. Many folks, including me and you, might regret what we say in the heat of the moment and retract it later. This is proof that you may have missed at the time.
Nobody here, or anywhere else I’d venture, want’s you to die or suffer harm, just be more civil maybe.
C’mon mange, let it go!

It gets even worse when you consider Maj. Nidal Hasan can’t entirely be ruled out as the author of Dreams of My Father.
He could’a ghosted the ghostered, who can really say.

It’s actually not that bad. Hasan was an attendee at a task force event that was open to all comers, not an appointee or a member of the task force. Aside from wondering what his interest in being there was, there’s not really much to the story. This is probably the least shocking revelation of the last few days.

Bad form, Dan. Tom thor has posted on PW using aliases, just in the past couple weeks. He’ll post again, using proxies and aliases, first chance he gets.
You can’t bargain with a
manboy who has no character, Dan.How many times does he get to lie before you realize he’s a liar?

WTF, I guess we have a winner in the pin-the-tail on the crazy spinning r-winger show.
What a full and complete second-hand douchebag this squatty old troll serr8d is, using my old nick to post on PW, hahaha. Not really that clever, actually.
Yo man, it’s like I’ve always said, these spinning low-IQ vomit-monkeys are deranged. My groupies suck harder than a starving blood tick biting on a dead monkey’s balls.

Oh, Dan, in case you missed it, here’s boi-tom-thor’s final Pub Post. g00gle’s Reader never sleeps.
That got him ‘banned’ from PW. It should get him banned from here, too, if you care anything about Darleen Click.

That’s such a great post. And it explains why spineless yellow-toothers, like you, my wittle Tennessee poopie-on-Obama monster, shudders in fear of the likes of me. Hahahaha.
Your blog sucks piss and you can’t write for shit, serr8d.
Catch my cadence, chumbagged. Hahaha.

Fishtail and bluster all you want, Tom Cretin, but the truth is you are abhorred by every person who encounters your spew. You’ve no one who will read your puffered raging and come to your defense. How many people side with you? The only reason your comments are welcomed anywhere, by any sane blogger, is because you heavily grease their PayPal accounts. With your trust fund monies, of course; you will never earn a dime by selling your ‘writings’.
Just keep your current course. You’ll die an unbalanced old man, with no one around you who cares. You’ll be thrown in an unmarked cairn along with the bones of pigs and dogs.

You’ll be impaled atop swollen dog boners, boiled in a chicken piss, goat curry and bat wing broth and then your head would be shrunken so small that it’ll be worn as an anklet charm!
Whatever, you bent and tamed lamer.
I’m thor. You’re not.
