Those Carzy Christians! You Couldn’t Dream this Stuff Up if You Tried!

OK - so what you're telling me is that through the First Parents, all of Mankind fell out of Perfect Grace, thereby passing on their deficiency to all subsequent generations? That this offense to Infinite Goodness could only be repaired by a Perfect and Infinite Offering: a Sacrificial Lamb of sorts? That some Creator God, loving his creatures so, came as Word Made flesh, "Emmanuel" (God with Us), in order that an Infinite Offering could be made on behalf of His fallen and disordered creatures - to Himself - in recompense for His creatures' sins? This Lamb of God, the offering of Himself to Himself was the only manner to reconcile - make aright - the debt? That He willingly made Himself lowly and permitted Himself to be crucified by the very creation He wished to liberate? What kind of a God would do such a thing?

Why this is preposterous!

This is why Christians celebrate the birth of the Christ Child - the Lamb of God. Because we recognize that God's love for us is undeserved. We recognize how amazing it is that He who is ALL can love us - His lowly sinful creatures - to such a degree! HE suffered and died to pay our debts - past, present and future. For all time. And for all men and women - for all of us sinners. This is profundity to an extent that is incomprehensible.

The Evangelist, ST JOHN, tells us in John 1:

1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2: He was in the beginning with God.
3: All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be. What came to be
4: through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race;
5: the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
