Life and Death Among Savages
Now this is the worst thing I have read in a long time.
This young girl was driven to her death by the unrelenting abuse she suffered at the hands of pigs. Pigs we here in the US of A breed, coddle, and worship. I can hardly read this story without warning you that I fear it reflects the actuality of what our culture has become.
Last week, Phoebe was supposed to visit Ireland, where she grew up, and she was excited because she was going to see her father for the first time in months.
She did end up going back to Ireland after all, and when her father saw her she was in a casket.
Phoebe’s family decided to bury her in County Clare. They wanted an ocean between her and the people who hounded her to the grave.
Which reminds me why I feel disgusted when I turn on the Television... listen to the Radio... read a Newspaper... encounter Porn at every turn. We have become filth. A nation of weak-minded, poorly-educated, selfish, ignorant, proud cunts. And we have no one but ourselves to blame. We are, alas, what we consume.
God Bless Phoebe Nora Mary Prince... and God Bless her family.
Vice is a monster of so frightful mien, As to be hated needs but to be seen; Yet seen too oft, familiar with her face, we first endure, then pity, then embrace.

I am so sorry for her family’s loss. I can only pray there is some justice and meaning from all of this.

As best as I can determine, there is no girl named “shannon charon” at South Hadley High School. The facebook site paired with that name belongs to a woman who lives in France.

I am truly sorry for her family’s loss. No parent should ever have to put a child in the ground. But let’s remember that this is America and unless something has changed, all are innocent until proven otherwise. I feel sorry for the parents of the accused. It is they who will bear the burden of the proceedings and the attentions of a relentless media, eager for any little snippet of information, however ill-gotten. Remember that there always two sides to every story. Phoebe Prince’s skeletons will be uncloseted soon enough.

“skeletons?” what are you, daft? soft in the head? Are you suggesting mitigating circumstances which would deflect the share in responsibility from the mean girls onto someone else?
if those girls at that school were half as vile as they have been reported as, then I say good riddance – let them rot.

I agree with you! Let them rot! It is offensive that “keep it in perspective” would say they are innocent until proven guilty and then in completion say Pheoebe Prince’s skeletons will be revealed soon enough.. I’d like to stone you. Stupid.

In my opinion this should have never happen but first it all starts at home if parents aren’t there for them then thses innocent children become monsters… like the bullys… School should have taken immediate actions cause after all we do send our children to learn not be bullied to death. And the sad thing is that these bully’s are a small percentage but the other kids don’t stand up and unite in this I’d be kicking some butt if someone ever touched my child I’d take it to the supreme court if neccesary.
And to Keep in perspective: All I can tell you is if you are a parent be a good one and that BS of skeletons in the closet wtf does it matter everyone has there own life to live and regardless of any circumstance Pheobe was just a 15 year old CHILD and didn’t deserve to die for these little damaged kids who apparently had horrible parents that probably let them get away with murder!!! Cause that is what this was they drove her to the GRAVE. But God is up there and justice will be done.

What a sad comment…you would not make this skeleton comment if you were a mother. No one deserves this treatment irrespective of their “skeletons”. It is the parents of these 9 people who have to share in the blame.

“all are innocent until proven otherwise …”
Only in the eyes of the 12 people in the jury box and the judge. That does not apply to the general public. I am sick and tired of hearing how we as members of the general public are not allowed to form opinions because the accused is entitled to the presumption of innocence. Obviously more evidence of the breakdown of our education system that so many are so ignorant as to believe that presumption of innocence extends to everyone outside the jury box and the bench.

I am so sorry for the loss of this beautiful girl. RIP sweet angel.
‘Keep it in perspective’, you must be a family member of one of the animals being charged. The parents of the accused are “bearing the burden” of proceedings and media attention because they neglected to “bear the burden” of properly parenting their children. Face it, they raised sociopaths. I am sure that the accused and their parents and lawyers are actively working to create a defense to try to get them off. A gang of animals hunting down their prey on a daily basis. Ya, there’s a justifiable defense for that! lol

The school officials are blamed for not taking appropriate actions when they knew there are students being bullied. But you cannot blame the school for undisciplined children. It is not the school’s job to discipline children. That is bad parenting. It is parent’s job to bring up their children properly, teaching them what is right from wrong, teaching them honesty, morals, values, and manners. Kindness and compassion is so lacking in our children today. sad sad sad…

Well stated. I know this is truth, what you speak.
The old canard ‘what goes around comes around’ will apply in this situation. These ‘mean girls’ will come to realize that every one of life’s downturns (and they will have ‘em over their years) might be because of their early meannesses. If they change and focus on seeking to repay their debts of meanness (with good deeds, to random others) then they might one day become (self) forgiven. Forgiven in their own minds, where their struggle for a full lifetime of happiness and fulfillment will be most necessary.
Otherwise, they are mindless animals and worthless, useless trash. Of with which this world is overflowing, seemingly.

Here’s an excellent idea that’s long overdue in this country. We need this counteract the permissive “Lord of Flies” approach to parenting and schools who are too afraid of law suits to discipline them.

hmmm – tempted to agree – though I think the less we follow in the path of Europe the better.
howabout this: sue the shit out of the schools that fail to protect children for fear of bad press… God knows the union teachers have no fear of losing their jobs. but first, they should commit to doing them.
as for the parents. i have hear dit said that the apple doesnt fall far from the tree. i bet these kids come from broken homes – just a hunch.

I’m very sorry to hear about your daughter. I am 15 myself and at my school the same thing happens girls and boys get bullied everyday and its just sad but i try my best to stand up for those who just can’t stand up for themselves. I agree with everything you have to say “John Smith and the rest” those kids should be procecruted for the involement in the death of your daughter but one thing i just simply don’t agree with is that it’s all the parents of those kids fault. I know that being a teen i make alot of mistakes with my mom but I take responsibilites for my actions so don’t blame the parents they probably had no clue what was even going on but blame the kids they should have known better than to even treat someone like trash and with such disrespect. Those kids should to be put though the same that Phoebe had to go through. She tried to turn to the teachers who have always said to every student “if someone or if anyone bullies you, you can always tell me” well she did and no one did anything to stop it. They knew what was going on and did absolutely nothing.

Yes – the teachers do bear a good part of the guilt – so invested are they in punching out at 3pm, taking the Summers off, collecting their checks and their fat pensions. They are not, most of them, doing their job out of love. They are mostly bureaucrats who couldn’t cut it in the private sector far a day.
They need to pay for having shirked their responsibility to this child – who, btw, is coerced by law to attend their public, tax-funded institution.
But they are above the law. They cannot be fired. They enjoy the fruits of taxpayers’ money and for the most part are not the brightest… but rather the dimmest among us.
