Serr8d on Moonbats on Tancredo
I was going to write about The Howling in response to Tancredo's speech at the Tea Party Convention, yesterday, but Serr saves me the labor. Personally, I don't think that the "can't spell 'vote'" line was particularly apt . . . its equivalent in Spanish being "vota." Besides, there were a bunch of people whom I'd consider intelligent, educated and informed who voted for Obama, in large part because of the wonderful job the media did in promoting him and refusing to look into his record and background anywhere that might cause concern.
I think that Tancredo's being deliberately provocative, and probably mistakes the heterogeneity of his audience. I also don't feel a lot of compunction for anyone who has stated that "Tea Bagger" opposition to Obama's agenda is based in racism, or for that matter, people's opposition to Obama's immigration policy (particularly blanket amnesty) is based on racism. A couple of weeks ago, I linked to video of an SEIU rep stating quite baldly that the principal advantage of "immigration reform" was its delivery to Progressives of some 8 million votes. Immigration control and the enforcement of immigration laws seem to me fundamental to the very idea of a sovereign state.
As is always the case, liberals so-called will say that any resistance to their agenda amounts to a power grab emanating from an appeal to the worst elements of human nature. The real power grab, though, began with Obama's usurpation of the Bureau of the Census. And although not many liberals so-called give a rat's ass about it, I'll simply point out once again that a blanket amnesty is patently unfair to those people who have followed the legal pathway. You may not like that pathway, but it is an aspect of being a "nation of laws."

G’morning, Dan, and thanks for the linkys!
Tom Tancredo’s axe is not the same as my axe. He’s limiting his range of O!blame to a very small group. Sure, I’ll bet that the illegals who did vote voted dans la force for teh One, but I’ll bet their numbers would not accumulate above single digit percentages of the total.
Plenty of blame to go ’round.
