Nazis in Miller Park – Home of the Brewers

A very good friend of mine was given a scare yesterday while attending a Brewers game last night.

You see, he is trying to quit smoking. Wisconsin has recently passed a pretty draconian smoking ban for all businesses. And he made the mistake of bringing his smokeless electronic "cigarette" device to the Miller Park last night.

All it is is a nicotine delivery system - completely smokeless - which delivers nicotine to the system via water vapor - not at all unlike inhalers used by asthma sufferers.

All the questions this policy begs...

Point is this. Next time you go to watch a Major League Baseball game (MLB) - especially the Milwaukee Brewers ("Your Milwaukee Brewers"), don't think to wear a patch, bring nicotine lozenges, or your eCig; because if you do, you can rest assured that the Nanny State Nazis will get you.Especially at Miller Park, home of the Milwaukee Nazis.

So what exactly did they do to him?

This reminds me when some clown (yes he is actually a clown) turned my kid in for pretending to smoke a pretzle at school. Kids used to do this all the time. This substitute teachers, who moonlights as a party clown, turned him in. When he confronted my wife, her response was “So what.” It completely deflated his moral indignation.

My response when I heard about this at home was, “Why the fuck is he a clown? Is he a John Wayne Gacy wannabee?” This is also why I do not go to parent teacher conferences. Shortly afterward we moved the kids to parochial school.

Now we are not smokers. We have lost sereral relatives to smoking. We get it is bad for you. No one smokes in our home…but Jeez Louise, lighten the fuck up on going after smokers.

Yeah…what happened? You can bring in real cigarettes, you just can’t light ‘em up except in the designated smoking patios.

The family in front of me at the game last night was from a culture that marinates in stanky cologne instead of bathing…I had a headache by the second inning, and it didn’t go away until this morning. I would have preferred tobacco smoke.

Right – well, here’s the thing… it is nothing but a small inhaler for people trying to do the right thing.

the only reason they would crack down on an inhaler is if other peeps were too dumb to be able to tell the difference and/or the nanny peeps can’t stand smokers not smoking but still enjoying their nicotine in a smokeless manner.

do the Brewers really believe this makes sense? If so, they can’t have my money.

in the meantime, have you seen how UNhealthy their food and beverage choices are?

They let you bring food in, if you don’t want to eat what’s available there. I don’t understand the need people have to control what I can be allowed to eat.

I’m in San Antonio right now, vacationing here for a couple of weeks. I found out today that the city’s Hugo Chavez-wannabe mayor and the Bolshevik city council are trying to ram through a comprehensive smoking ban based on junk-science about secondhand smoke. Fucking Stalinist bastards. Whether restaurants, et al. allow smoking or not should be a decision between the proprietor and consumer. The government (federal, state, local) can just fuck off.

Have people taken complete leave of their senses? When did this stop being a free country? God damn sheep.
