    Disclaimers:
    One, I said Jessica Biel. I have no idea who Jessica BEAL is.
    Two, Shirley Manson? Huh?
    Three, if a particularly attractive person is not on this list, it’s likely they are not overrated at all. For me that would include Jessica Alba and Angelina Jolie. Is Angelina a little gross? Yeah, especially in her Billy Bob days. Is she fun to watch in a movie? You betcha!

    Yes, I am happily married. To a man. Who is hawt. I contributed to this list with him in mind. He always says Giada’s head defying gravity is one reason people watch her, which I think is mean. If she ate some of what she cooked, her head would totally be proportional.

    I agree that Carrie Underwood, Christina Hendricks, Heidi Klum, Padma Lakshmi, Rachel McAdams and Rachel Weisz are underrated .. the rest .. not so much.

    my only disagreement with the overrated list is Giada de Laurentiis. She doesn’t belong there.

    Reese Witherspoon is cute, and she’s a comedic actress of some talent. I think Anna Faris is in that category, too, and she’s an enormously talented comedienne. Jimmie Bise wanted to add Diane Lane to the smoking hot category, and I concur. It’s interesting that there are so many women from Food Network. I would have thought that some of the eye candy newscast women would have made the list.

    I’ll have to assume the names I don’t recognize are on the food network, but I pretty much agree with most of the names I recognize.
    Not sure how a supermodel could be considered underrated, though. The only name I could think to add would be Kate Moss (over rated).

    I only agree with Christina Hendricks being underrated insofar as it is impossible to overreate her. She’s that awesome. And it’s just not her measurements that make her hot. Something about her poise.

    This is fun! I mostly agree with the underrated list except for Padma Lakshi whose obnoxious personality is a total turn off IMHO and Sandra Bullock, who I would have put on the overrated list. For the overrated I would definitely add Katy Perry, Courtney Love, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Aniston, and don’t forget Lindsey Lohan. Why do men think she is hot? Don’t get it at all.

    Can we do this for men, too?

    3. And, of course, Diane Kruger is neither under- nor overrated, since everyone acknowledges her to be The Supreme Beauty Goddess. (Nicole Kidman might have given DK a run for her money had she never married that short Scientologist what’s-his-name.)

    Christina Hendricks could not possibly be anything but underrated. She is beyond ratings. Pure sex appeal. I blush when she comes on TV. It just seems unbelievable that the FCC allows such smoking hotness on in prime time.

    I can’t believe no one’s mentioned Anne Hathaway yet. How that chick has become an A-list sex symbol is beyond me. Is she good looking for a normal chick in a NY bar? Sure. But as a big screen A-list sex symbol. Get outta here!

    Add Drew Barrymore to the overrated list — the woman has made countless movies, but has any of them ever made any money? I can think of only one, Charlie’s Angels, but she wasn’t the only actress. The sequel bombed, recall.

    She also does cover girl commercials — please.

    Scarlett Johansson may be a leftist twit, but she’s NOT overrated.

    Natalie Portman is NOT overrated either.

    Rachel McAdams and Rachel Weisz are anything but underrated, at least by me. They’re both so hot it melts my brain. Hooray for Canadian chicks and eastern European Jewish chicks who grew up in England!

    I find it strange that a group of women would consider themselves qualified to judge other women from a man’s point of view in the first place.

    I’m not sure I’d agree that Carrie Underwood is underrated. Not that she’s OVERrated, just that I don’t know a single guy who doesn’t think she’s smoking hot.

    You know, it would have been helpful (for both the list creators, and commenters) if we knew what we were rating them ON. Hotness? Overall awesomeness? Watchability?

    If this were hotness, I strongly, STRONGLY disagree with Jessica Biel being on the overrated list.

    Drew Berrymore (how does anyone consider her attractive?) MUST be on the overrated list, along with Angelina Jolie (the woman is a skeleton and is very creepy looking). Also, throw Renee Zellweger on there too.

    I do not get the slobbering over Christina Hendricks. She’s a somewhat above-average looking woman with a giant fake chest. Is it the red hair? Do you have to be a fan of Mad Men to get it, perhaps, because I don’t understand the big appeal of that either.

    Sandra Bullock definitely belongs on the overrated list, not the underrated.

      FWIW, Christina Hendricks is not a natural red. Pretty sure the boobs are genuine, but since I’m not much of a chest fan, I’m not overly impressed by them either way.

      Hendricks exudes sexuality in much the same way Marilyn Monroe did. The little girl voice, the alabaster skin, the jello on springs way she moves and her voluptuous curves all serve to fire those neurons in men’s libidos. As I said…I’m not impressed by, or really attracted to, women with big breasts but I find her incredibly sexy…and it’s because of the way she carries herself and makes no pretense about using her sexuality to her advantage.

      Mad Men has its highs and lows, but overall it is one of the better shows on TV, but since this is supposed to be about the women, I’ll leave it at that.

    It’s impossible to overrate Megan Fox. It just is. Also, someone not on either list, but should be, imho, on the underrated list is Kate Beckinsdale. Hawwtttt…
