Crappy Packers Shut Out Crappy Jets

Don't know how else to sum it up. I don't have TV, so I had to "watch" it on CBS's graphical game feed. The Jets had three turnovers---two picks and one fumble---and the Packers had 3 field goals, 3 out of 4 to the Jets' 0 out of 1 attempts. The last time the Jets were shut out at home was in 2006, to the Bears, and the loss snapped a 5-game win streak, leaving them at 5-2. The Packers are now 5-3, and play the Cowboys next week before their bye week, so they have time to get a lot healthier at a crucial time in their season.

So, they could go into their bye week 6-3, which would be pretty good, considering the injuries. Apparently, they're showing some depth on the defensive side. On the other hand, they're going to have to play the Vikings in their dome later on, and possibly against the backup QB, who may pose more problems for them than the injured Favre did.

On the whole, it's evidence of a coach who understands what his priorities are and has a knack for plucking talent out of the heap.
