  1. Are you looking to move Enoch? Tired of the snow, heading for points south or something if the sort?

I happen to like it here near NYC, but, alas, I don’t think it will fit the bill for y’all.

  2. looking to move?
Middle Tennessee is a great place to live and it meets all of your stated needs.
Nashville is called the buckle of the Bible belt for a reason.
any of the more rural counties around Davidson co would be a wonderful place for your family to relocate.
if you have any questions I will be checking back here later

  4. There’s good folks in Putnam County here in NY [and spitting distance from our house...by rights, we should be in Putnam -- the only NY county near here that went for McCain in 2008], but yeah, the taxes are still high. There are pockets of good stuff even in the most benighted of states.

But you probably want something better than that.

  5. Augusta, Georgia is nice. We have golf, which I couldn’t care less about, but it’s here, and there’s lots to do and the people here are awesome…we have hour troubles, but for the most part it’s a great place to live.

We’d love to have you here..your kids could play with my brother’s 4.

  6. Texas doesn’t have income tax and it’s got distinct areas.
If you’re used to living around Liberals you’ve got Austin and Houston.

If you like big cities, there’s the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex.

There are good school systems here. San Antonio’s Northside and N.E. side ISDs. Castrovill is about 25 MI west of San Antonio with an excellent school.

If you still want winters and some snow, there is Amarillo.

  7. Enoch:

Two words for you: Muncie, Indiana.

While it’s true that the community has almost NOTHING to offer, I’d love to have you and yours close by!

Yeah, it’s a referral borne of unabashed selfishness. Gottta problem with that?

  8. Oh, and Muncie has a really good barbecue joint: Q.L.’s. I don’t know where the name came from, but they serve great ribs, whole and half chickens, sausage, and they’ll barbecue your turkey or ham for you for Thanksgiving.

Their “hot” will make you smile even as your face breaks out in sweat!
