Hard-Hitting Rotten Luck

Going Postal Never Felt So Good
A Wisconsin postal carrier delivering the mail in the nude who simply wanted to cheer up a woman on his mail rounds on Milwaukee's northside was killed Tuesday when he was struck by a refrigerator thrown from the building, a Milwaukee police spokeswoman said.
A police report says the man told the woman he would deliver the mail to her office in Whitefish Bay completely naked to make her laugh. The woman dared him to do it, so he reportedly took the dare Dec. 4 and brought the mail wearing only a smile. Initial reports indicated the victim apparently stepped into the path of the refrigerator as it fell from a fourth-floor porch to the ground, where the man was struck.
Nakedness! and Refrigerators!
Going Postile
I'm gettin' mail, and when I come back to you I'm goin' postile
Well, I'm gonna find a chick who's down, see how it feels goin' postile
I'm buck naked
I can strip down to my suit, I can make it super lewd goin' postile
I can stop in any place, invitin' postal union creeps, goin' postile
I'm buck naked!
Out in the woods or in the city
It's all the same to me
When I'm drivin' free the world's my home
When I'm postile
Hee-hoo, beep beep
Play the tape machine, making toast and tea when I'm postile
Well, I can lay in bed with only highway ahead when I'm mobile
Keep me movin'
Keep me movin', over fifty
Keep me groovin', just a hippy gypsy
Come on, move now, naked
I'm buck naked, yeah
How I Went to Bed with Bo Derek and Woke Up with Bo Diddley
Dude - it's happened to all of us...
Imagine me and you I do
I think about you day and night
It's only right
To think about the girl you love
And hold her tight
So happy together
If I should call you up invest a dime
And you say you belong to me
And ease my mind
Imagine how the world could be
So very fine
So happy together
I can see me lovin' nobody but you
For all my life
When you're with me baby the skies'll be blue
For all my life
Me and you and you and me
No matter how they toss the dice
It had to be
The only one for me is you
And you for me
So happy together
I can see me lovin' nobody but you
For all my life
When you're with me baby the skies'll be blue
For all my life
Me and you and you and me
No matter how they toss the dice
It had to be
The only one for me is you
And you for me
So happy together
Me and you and you and me
No matter how they toss the dice
It had to be
The only one for me is you
And you for me
So happy together
So happy together
How is the weather
So happy together
We're happy together
So happy together
Happy together
So happy together
So happy together
My advice? Next time don't tell anyone.
Dear Prospective Employees

A Note to Prospective Employees -
We here at SunAnt are very appreciative of your interest in working for our firm. We really are.
Unfortunately, whereas in normal economic times, our rapid growth would mean adding additional personnel, for now we, the management and ownership of SunAnt, are just going to work longer hours. This decision has zero to do with you (many of whom are no doubt stellar talents and who in normal economic times we would be more than happy to hire). Rather, our decision is simply one of what is most prudent for our small business.
It may sound weird, but there is a degree of growth which makes sense and a degree of growth that does not. You see, when a business hits a certain level of gross sales, it is not unusual to respond by adding additional personnel to handle additional business. But for the time being we have decided that each partner will work 60 hours per week apiece rather than add an additional employee - and purposefully manage our growth so as not to grow so rapidly that we must hire another employee. This is a strategic decision. Because when growing a business, one has to think about profitability. And it may sound weird, but in some cases a business can be more profitable with fewer sales! Think about it. It is real similar to someone being offered a job for say 91k, but asking the offerer to instead offer them less - let's say 89k per annum, so as to avoid the AMT! Again, this has nothing to do with you, per se, but rather with the business environment. While we have the audacity to hope for better economic times, and while we hope for a change in our government, we are not confident that the economy is in fact recovering. Further, we are plagued with uncertainty in terms of what the federal government might decide to do next.
In days of yore, it was to be expected that the government (full of lawyers and bureaucrats as it is - nary having held a private sector job or managed a business) would commit flagrant boneheaded acts that would make it more difficult for businesses to succeed. But this is perhaps the first time in American history in which the private sector finds itself competing directly with an openly hostile government. That is, the government we are now saddled with is not only ignorant, but aggressively and purposefully anti-business. It is unnecessary and a waste of limited resources to go too far into why government is hostile to business. Suffice to say, there is work to be done - and pointing out the obvious conflict between Marxist philosophy and private job creation (enterprise) is best left to those who most obviously know best (bureaucrats and lawyers and James Wolcott) and have access to limitless resources!
Anyway, thanks for checking in with us. We really do appreciate it. And best of luck to you.
Regretfully,
The Management
How the Fourth Estate Became the Fifth Column
Ric's post over at Ric's Rulez reminds me of the following.
Read Ric's post and then read the following:
Repost of Repost of 2004 essay written by Daniel P Collins, MD (Naples Florida)
Framers of the Constitution recognized the need for a Free Press to report on governmental action to the citizenry. They accorded unique privileges to the news media to protect and ensure this vital activity. It is now obvious, with the secret ABC memo, and the 60 minutes, that the media does not know the difference between freedom & license or that privileges always carry concomitant responsibilities. The media has shifted from a legitimate mission of reporting the news to a mission of creating the news. In so doing, it has become the “Fifth Columnâ€*, undermining & eroding the Republic from within. The media manipulation of the election environment to insure a close election, great copy for press & TV, calls for encouragement of visceral hatred of various groups: bad for the nation, but newsworthy. They gleefully & dishonestly set to work. After all, the ends justify the means: the creation of news. Honesty, morality, ethics or National Welfare be damned. The Fifth Column has a job to be done!
Crazy ass, racist Physicians!
Teachers and the Captive Audience
Let's see... now, we are told, year-round public indoctrination education is a necessity. Because, you know, we have done without it so long that something significant must have changed for the group of people who benefit most from the status quo seek to change it.
The cynical among us will immediately notice this push for what it is.
1) a push-back against people who have decided to yank their kids out of the public education morass. that is, homeschoolers - who tend to be all God-bothery and racisty - desiring, you know, the opportunity to spare their children from statethink. I must say, the un-doing good parents among us must do on a daily basis is quite a task. We must undo all manner of inconvenient memes introduced to and then chiseled into our beloved childrens' brains. Gay "Marriage" and Globular Warmongering come to mind. But, we could easily throw in "alternate" lifestyle marketing, anti-Christian, pro-Muslim fascism.
2) countering the obvious truth that those very high-minded (but not real smart) public indoctinairres are found to be pigs at the trough. Cadillac benefits none but senators and fat unionistas can claim, 3 months off, early retirement, pensions, and secondary careers after retirement... sure. they do it for teh children.
I could go on. And I might.
But there is also another segment of the population who would love for my children to go to school year-round. Namely, "working moms." I put it is quotes because it seems to me the hardest working women I know are the stay-at-home variety, whose work is paramount and from which never is a paid vacation.
Let's face it: if those damnable accessories weren't so damnably demanding a woman might be able to climb the ladder faster and save some cash in the meantime - kids at school do not result in day-care bills, you see.
It is all crap. And it has nothing to do with being competitive. I have observed in the workplace that some folks have the remarkable ability to spend 60 hours doing what should take 40. I have seen projects afforded 250 hours which could have been done in 120 but ended up taking 275 hours. Am I wrong to assume that a teacher might be completely ok making more money doing 1/4 less work any given day - and having 25% more time to do it? Am I wrong to presume that the next step would be to claim, as is always the case, that teh pay will not suffice for having expanded hours?
I guess my real issue has to do with marketing of the concept. We will be told it is for the children. We will be instructed that a year-long school year is necessary for "America to remain competitive in the global economy." This, coming from people who have demon-strated the highest degree of ignorance as it pertains to the marketplace and the basic economic ins-and-outs. But, in reality, the motivation will be most obvious to any who actually retain the ability to critically think: what teachers want these days has ZERO to do with teh Children (who are our future, etc.) and EVERYTHING to do with selfishness.
I say: f*ck em. Next to government bureaucrats, public school teachers are the worst.
Not the White Man’s Bitch
Full story here.
Madison — State elections officials Wednesday narrowly rejected a Milwaukee Assembly candidate's attempt to run with the slogan "NOT the 'whiteman's bitch' " under her name on the ballot.
Ieshuh Griffin, an independent candidate with a history of feuds with local officials, said in response she would sue the state Government Accountability Board for infringing on her freedom of speech.
She is running to replace retiring Rep. Annette "Polly" Williams (D-Milwaukee).
With inner-city, community leadership like that offered by Ieshuh Griffin, Milwaukee Public School's high school drop-out rates seem less surprising than ever.
Everyone I spoke with, elderly and young, understand my point of view. - Genius
God help her target demographic.

Idiota – County Board Resolution – Boycott of AZ
From this article here:
MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee County Board spent part of the day debating a measure that would call for the county to boycott doing business with companies in Arizona.
Communities around the nation have passed similar measures in response to a law in Arizona that makes it a state crime to be in the country illegally.
There was an odd moment during the debate when Supervisor Peggy West stood up and seemed to be confused about her geography. "If this was Texas, which is a state that is directly on the border with Mexico, and they were calling for a measure like this saying that they had a major issue with undocumented people flooding their borders, I would have to look twice at this. But this is a state that is a ways removed from the border," West said during debate.
White Racist on County Board corrects her, "Arizona does in fact share a border with the country of Mexico."
Worse yet, she is the sponsor of this bill. Worse yet, she is a Latina. Worse yet, half of her constituents are Mexican-American.
WTF? I am not sure.
Complete idiot. Dumb as a box of rocks. Good God, I swear we aren't all this dumb in Milwaukee. Well, mostly.
Rainbow Putsch and Obama’s DC
Remember this story from 2006?
From the Independent (UK)
The Reverend Jesse Jackson, the veteran civil rights leader, has called on African Americans to boycott BP over its record on equality.
The campaigner has set out plans to picket some of the oil giant's 12,000 petrol stations across the US because the company has so few ethnic minority- owned distributors.
And he is tying the campaign to outrage over the high oil price. This has pushed up energy costs, which, he claims, fall disproportionately on urban residents, including many African Americans.
From the ACUF.org, the American Conservative Union Foundation
Judicial Watch has released a report that details the shakedown tactics that have been used by Jesse Jackson and his Chicago-based Rainbow PUSH Coalition against some of the biggest companies in the world.
Jackson’s current target is oil giant British Petroleum. Using one of his almost patented malapropisms, Jackson has informed BP that "We don't want charity, we want parity," as he mouthed a laundry list of what the oil company needs to do in order to get the “Reverend” to go away.
I didn't. But now I do. And the only reason I remember it now is that I sensed something very familiar in Captain Queeg our Dear Leader... in the way he has been analyzing managing triangulating - is tending to - the current opportunity crisis in the Gulf.
I found this in his file folder we keep in the archives here at POWIP. But, no doubt, O'Blameya knows this play by heart. How to extort money from productive employers without spending a dime seems to be a very popular game among... erm... those who haven't produced anything of substance in their entire adult lives.
As they say, the Apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Or, in this case, the bramble.
Is Jackson Watto the Emperor to Obama's Anakin?
Updatex1 - Joe rightly points out that Jackson is more like the character Watto than the Emperor. Correction made.

Also, the kid has excellent self-control - I would have beaten the shit out of that old geezer, Bob Etheridge (D - NC) - a good left hook is what the doctor orders.
What the hell is going on? Is this part of the "in yo grill" campaign?
UPDATED X1 - WEIRD - in an effort to serve the DNC and His Highness, El Presidente Obama from embarrassment, it appears that the video has been wiped from YouTube.
Well, here you go... on a more free speech friendly platform.
