Dan, you’re still getting and receiving links from Mr. Anti-miscegenation, nee RSM? Wow, what little hope I had that the Protein Wisdom c. 2006 crowd was not a bunch of yokels and clowns has evaporated. You were the best and now….well, having political connections to un-reconstructed Confederates and racists doesn’t trouble you?

timb,
Before you talk trash about who exactly is part of the anti-miscegination crowd maybe you’d like to read this:
http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/34288353/ns/sports-golf/
It seems to me that there are a substantial number of folks on all sides of the racial spectrum that disagree with cross racial unions…
No one side has a monopoly on that manner of thinking. And you’re using it as a cheap cudgel to beat someone you dislike, McCain, over the head with…

Go read Stacy’s most recent post, before you profess to knowing the whole story.
But even so, what would be the issue about my supporting his efforts to see the Rose Bowl? Does that mean that I share his worship of the Crimson Tide.
Tim, you seem to forget that one of the reasons that I left PW was because I didn’t want to feel that anyone was inhibiting my freedom of association. And you’ve probably noticed that I haven’t posted a lot about Charles Johnson’s insane ravings. And if Pam Spaulding decided that she wanted a sex change, I’d link to that, too, and without snark.
Nobody tells me whom I can and can’t link to.
You know, if people were that upset about racism per se, they’d be pissing themselves over this. That they’re not tells you that they believe that it’s only an issue if they perceive it from people who differ from them.

Fair enough, Dan. You are a grown up and all. I was a little insulted with your comment about me on Protein Wisdom, since blaming me for authors getting busted for what they wrote seems a bit overwrought. On the other hand, I understand what you mean above and all I want you to know is that I think that guy is beneath you….
As in, I wouldn’t suggest the folks posting at your old place not link to him, because I believe they are both vile people (politically speaking, of course, although I suspect on of them is actually just a terrible human being).
Anyway, thanks for the consideration of a reply.
Merry Christmas

If I might. I too have trouble with one person in particular Dan links to. But it is Dan’s place. And, as such, I don’t criticize his furniture.

While we’re on the subject, I think TimB is beneath you, Dan. He’s a raging douchebag, politically speaking. (And actually a profoundly stupid human being.) But if he had a blog, I’d link the shit out of it, for the lulz.

Hello Dan & Enoch -
Just happened to find your website, and I’m so happy I did. Liz Neuman was my cousin and one of my best friends. I’ve been wishing I had some way to send a message to the families of James Shore and Kirby Brown. Hopefully, you can help me with James Shore’s family.
I live in Arizona, so I was able to attend the hearing yesterday, and it broke my heart that time and distance didn’t allow other family members to be there. I want them to know that I went to represent not just my family, but ALL the families affected. I said a prayer for all the victims and for all the families in court. I intend to be at court every single solitary day for the trial, and again, I want them to know that I’ll be there for all of us. I’ve ordered magnetic door signs for my car, which simply say “In Loving Memory – Kirby Brown, James Shore, Liz Neuman – October 2009.” I will have these signs on my car each and every day I’m at court, to make sure no one forgets why we’re there.
I know how trite this sounds, but it comes from the heart. I wish I could do more.
I’m so sorry for your loss. James Shore was a true hero. Bless his soul.
Lily

Lily – Thanks a ton for the kind words. Likewise, our love and sympathy go to you and all of Liz’s friends and family. You are doing so very much – just by way of prayer alone – and all we can do is do the best we can.
God bless you.
- Enoch ( matt dot ocoileain at gmail dot com )
ps. I am positive that Alyssa, James’ widow, would love to speak with you if you are up for it. Just say the word.

Please take down this information. You have Kayla Narey’s address and phone number as Laurie Narey and it is incorrect and she is being harassed and threatened. The information on Ashley Longe is also incorrect and an elderly woman is being unjustly harassed. You shouldn’t be posting the information of minors anyway, but especially not if you have the wrong information up there to begin with.

Danny,
I didn’t read your book yet, but I glanced through it and saw the quote regarding early adopters and the reference to the explosion of the London Punk Rock Scene.
You are definitely right about the early adopters feeling all smug and happy that they are on to something cool then getting bummed when it becomes mainstream.
I feel that way about being a libertarian and it hasn’t even blown up yet.
Even harder to accept is when you discover something really cool and don’t get credit.
I’m of course speaking of Punk Rock’s real parents, Detoit’s own Stooges (wih Iggy Pop), along with the MC5 and NYC’s Ramones.
I look forward to reading the book
Joey

Dan,
How do I get to become a member of your blogroll?
I am owner of a site called Useful Info Nation at http://usefulinfonation.com and a blog at http://blog.usefulinfonation.com where I sometimes link to posts on your site.
I like what you do for conservative politics as I am conservative. I have a right and left side on my site and my readers can surely tell the difference in the way conservatives state their case as opposed to the tacky way liberals or progressives do in the articles to which I link.
Would it be possible for you to add a link to my site from your blogroll? If so, I greatly appreciate it. I look forward to reading your daily contributions and I will link directly to you.
Sincerely,
Thomas
