Canadian Anti-Semite Sues Over Thoughtcrime

Yesterday, I said that Evi Quaid had been diagnosed as a Canadian, and you thought I was kidding. Didn't you? DIDN'T YOU?

Via Stacy, who's on the road again, word comes that professional douchebag Richard Warman is suing Kathy Shaidle's husband, Blazing Cat Fur, for (among other things, including comments made at his site) linking to a Mark Steyn story which alleges something about him:

Warman is also suing for comments made by multiple readers. In one instance for the heinous crime of calling him a "Bully". We all know what this SLAPP suit is really all about. Warman is using every lawfare tactic he can to prevent a discussion in the public interest of Section 13 (1) and the CHRC. A discussion in which he must feature prominently.

Warman is suing me for $500,000.00 Dollars. A ridiculous amount for an equally ridiculous lawsuit. Nonetheless even nuisance suits such as this must be defended against. To date legal fees have run me about 10K. I've covered that from my own pocket. I am now asking for your help. I know times are hard for many of us but if every reader who visited daily were to contribute 5 or 10 dollars then that would go a long way to helping all of us out.

In my considered opinion, Warman is (in addition to douchebag) 1) an asswipe, 2) a cocksucker, 3) a sperm-gurgling buttwhore, and withal 4) a Canadian of the first water. Allegedly.

Randy and Evi Quaid Booted from Free Lodgings Again; Evi Quaid Diagnosed

She's Canadian.

Oscar nominee Randy Quaid and his wife Evi have been released from a Canadian detention facility after she was declared a Canadian citizen.

In yet another odd twist on a story that’s been strange from the start, the Canada Border Services Agency confirmed Evi Quaid is a citizen of the country in which she and her husband were arrested last week.

“The Canada Border Services Agency can confirm that it has withdrawn a request for an admissibility hearing for Mrs. Quaid as she is a prima facie Canadian citizen,” the agency said in a statement.

“Mrs. Quaid has received an unconditional release and that she is no longer in detention.”

*******

In an interview with The Canadian Press, Catherine Sas, the Quaid’s new lawyer, said Evi Quaid is “one of us.”

*******

Quaid and his wife were charged after more than $5,000 in damage was found in a guest house of a Montecito, Calif., home they had previously owned.

Last week, Evi Quaid, 47, begged a Canadian immigration adjudicator to allow the couple to stay in Canada saying she feared for her 60-year-old husband’s life after some of their friends, like actors David Carradine and Heath Ledger, had been “murdered” under mysterious circumstances.

Ledger died in January 2008 from an accidental overdose. Carradine was found dead, hanging from a rope, in a suite at a luxury Bangkok hotel. Neither actor’s death was ruled suspicious.

*******

Randy Quaid is best-known for supporting roles in films such as “Independence Day” and “National Lampoon’s Vacation.”

He has said the couple came to Canada because he was being given an award by a film critics group. He added that they were considering moving to Vancouver, where he planned to jump-start his career.

I knew there had to be a simple explanation.

Fox's new series based on the true life story of the Quaids.

Shocking! Canada To Drive Quaids Back Into Arms of Mysterious Canada-Avoiding “Star Wacker”?

Cruelty, thy name is Canada, eh?

"Where we are today is they are scheduled for an 'admissibility hearing' on Thursday," Melissa Anderson, spokeswoman for the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada told E! News.

"The Canadian Border Services Agency, which is like your Homeland Security, believe the Quaids are not admissible to Canada. Possible reasons could be criminality outside of Canada or giving misinformation at the port of entry. If the BSA wins their case, they will get a removal order."

In other words, they could soon be somebody else's problem. Great.

Anderson added that the Quaids could even face the option of never being allowed into Canada again, pointing out that the Thursday hearing is not about refugee status, which is covered by privacy laws, but would not be addressed in a hearing of this kind, which will discuss the couple's ability to be in Canada at all. Anderson could not confirm whether they were in custody or had been released on the $20,000 combined bail.

However, an eyewitness at the hearing last Friday, tells E! News that the Quaids gave quite the performance in court.

"They wanted time to prepare for their hearing and said they left their evidence in their car," says the source. "It was interesting body language. He was mellow and subdued, while Evi, she was, like, vibrating. She burst into tears a few times and he put his arm around her."

Meanwhile, a Santa Barbara judge last Friday upped the couple's bail to $1 million for missing their last hearing with regard to the squatting case. When told of the news at the Canadian hearing, Evi insisted it was a typo, but there would be no problem getting the $20,000 wired from her mother while she and Randy were staying at the Sutton Place Hotel in Vancouver.

A woman who answered the phone at Sutton, though, said that no guests named Randy and Evi Quaid were booked there.

So, what do we know about the Star Wacker? (Or as prigs would have it, "Star Whacker"?)

* The Star Wacker has the capacity to make his murders appear to be deaths by misadventure.
* The Star Wacker preys mainly on stars who've had work recently, though not exclusively.
* The Star Wacker preys on celebrities whom the Quaids have met.
* The Star Wacker could travel to Thailand to murder David Carradine, but for some reason cannot operate in Canada.

Having followed somewhat closely the career of Randy and Evi Quaid, this blog no longer wonders why they don't just move to Old Blighty, where squatting is legal: obviously, the Star Wacker's territory extends to the UK.

“Star Wackers”: An Editorial Note

I think that the Quaids are "wackers," but I was tempted to change Snaqwells' header to "Star Whackers," because we're talking about someone who whacks wacky stars, particularly by causing them to overdose on drugs or autoerotically asphyxiate themselves to death. This is why I can't:

Please take our poll on the Quaids and hobos, too.

Hollywood Star Wackers

I know Dan already brought up the Quaids, but that phrase deserves its own headline.  And yet another part of my childhood has died.

At least I'll always have Russell Casse and Eddie Johnson.

They said that if I voted for McCain, celebretards would seek refuge in Canada

And they were right!

Once again kooky couple Randy Quaid and his wife Evi have been brought to justice after being on the lam for their arrest last month on suspicion of illegally squatting at a home. After a judge issued $50,000 arrest warrant for their arrests, on a felony vandalism charge, the Quaids took off for Canada. Randy, 60, and Evi, 47, were eventually located and arrested in Vancouver, British Columbia, and jailed. According to the Vancouver Sun, at their first hearing Evi told a Canadian immigration adjudicator they should not be forced to return to the US, because eight of their friends, such as actors David Carradine and Heath Ledger, have been “murdered” under mysterious circumstances and she’s worried something will happen to her husband next.

Somebody's killing American celebretards! Bilderbergers! Illuminati imagery in National Lampoon's Vacation!

Are They Hobos?

They are ahead-of-the-curve Obama Depression hobos who deserve our sympathy.

They are the kind of hobos who deserve killing by Ace and the Morons.

Your implication is incredibly insulting to hobos.

What do you think this is? The effing Taj Mahal?

To ensure fool-proof security, the President’s team has booked the entire the Taj Mahal Hotel, including 570 rooms, all banquets and restaurants. Since his security contingent and staff will comprise a huge number, 125 rooms at Taj President have also been booked, apart from 80 to 90 rooms each in Grand Hyatt and The Oberoi hotels. The NCPA, where the President is expected to meet representatives from the business community, has also been entirely booked.

The officer said, “Obama’s contingent is huge. There are two jumbo jets coming along with Air Force One, which will be flanked by security jets. There will be 30 to 40 secret service agents, who will arrive before him. The President’s convoy has 45 cars, including the Lincoln Continental in which the President travels.”

Since Obama will stay in a hotel that is on sea front, elaborate coastal security arrangements have been made by the US Navy in consonance with the Indian Navy and the Coast Guard. “There will be US naval ships, along with Indian vessels , patrolling the sea till about 330-km from the shore. This is to negate the possibility of a missile being fired from a distance,” the officer said.

And you thought the "optics" were bad for Mrs. Obama's visit to Marabella?

Hey, I know: let's make the Quaids members of Obama's security detail.

Let him eat his waffle, h8ers! He's buying shrimp, and he's already answered, like, eight questions.

Disambiguation: I am not this guy.

A construction worker from western Missouri is recovering today after he was flushed through more than a mile of sewer pipe yesterday morning.

Daniel Collins was working on the sewage system in the town of Raymore, outside Kansas City, when his safety line became unhooked and he was swept away by waste water flowing through the sewer.

As the Associated Press reports, Collins was pushed through more than a mile of 27-inch-wide sewer pipe for nearly 90 minutes. Workers checking manholes along the sewer line finally heard his calls for help around 10 a.m.

Collins was in and out of consciousness when rescued.

We are all this guy. So, you know, hang in there and Be the Wave.
